Sparkling the Cartoon


In early 2020 we hosted an event called "Sparkling the Cartoon" in which Jorge Vigara reproduced his real workflow for the creation of a cartoon acting shot. These are recordings of a live process - meaning, no cuts, no speeds up. This will help you really understand how much time and detail it takes to do this kind of work. You will learn the breakdown of a high-performance workflow, frame by frame. Key aspects for shot planning and animation design. Tips & tricks in how to pose, do breakdowns, and polish. Use of tools for following trajectories, spacing, and simple drills with Animbot!

Jorge Vigara

Jorge is a character animator and director with over 17 years of experience in the animation industry. He has worked for a large variety of formats such as film, tv, advertising, short films, VR and feature films. He is also the founder of Animawarriors.com. Amongst more that 20 titles in his belt, his credits include Hotel Transylvania 1 & 2, Despicable Me, The Smurfs 2, Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs 2 , Storks and many more.
