Spidey Body Mechanics 1 - dripping course

by Andrés Bedate | animator at Sony Imageworks "SpiderMan and the SpiderVerse"

What will students learn?

There are three main goals in the course: First, learn how the workflow is in some of the biggest animation studios. Second, improve your body mechanics skills like in the “Spiderman into the Spiderverse” movie that won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film. And third, you will learn how to do your blockings in a clean and organised way so that you can handle the splining in a later stage.

How Does This Class Work?

We will go step by step learning the process of blocking your shots from a simple layout until the blocking plus. We will see why we need to spend as much time as necessary in this stage so that we minimize the changes in the splinning stage. I will show some tools and techniques that I find necessary and important in your day to day.
